Origin of the IPO INSTITUTE

The IPO – Initial Public Offering is the most complex financial transaction as it is at the crossroad of many fields of knowledge that are entirely different. It involves knowledge in finance, in many national and international laws, in marketing trends analysis, in macro- and micro- economy, in financial public relations, in econometrics, in fundamental corporate analysis, in financial and securities markets analysis as well as in accounting, whether traditional, financial or analytical.

Thus the IPO complexities arise from:

  • The positioning of the knowledge which is not in a specific field but in various fields.
  • The conflict between the reasoning of the various fields of knowledge.
  • The need for the decision maker to prioritize one or more fields of knowledge over the others.
